World Economic Forum publishes FDI Center paper on investment facilitation
Investment Facilitation_ A Practical Perspective
As part of the E15 Initiative to strengthen the global trade and investment system for sustainable development, the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) solicit strategic analysis and recommendations from “world-class experts” on trade and investment.
FDI Center’s managing director Andreas Dressler participated in workshops held in 2017 on the role of investment facilitation in sustainable development. Some of Andreas Dressler’s views on this topic have now been published in a paper entitled “Investment Facilitation: A Practical Perspective”. In keeping with FDI Center’s focus on the practical aspects of foreign direct investment attraction, the paper defines investment facilitation as the support that investment promotion agencies and governments provide to investors and looks at some of the key success factors for effective facilitation.
