In late February, FDI Center contributed to two intensive FDI capacity-building programs held at the Møller Institute, Churchill College, University of Cambridge — delivering sessions for senior government delegations from Nigeria and Ukraine as part of TheCityUK's FDI Leadership Program series.
Project Manager Nada Snoussi delivered the session "Global investment trends and investor decision making" across both programs, providing participants with an overview of the key forces currently shaping FDI flows globally — including geopolitical tensions, trade disruptions, and economic uncertainty — and their implications for investment decisions. The session invited delegates to reflect on investor motivations and the factors that drive or dampen investor confidence.
Managing Director Andreas Dressler served as Program Director for TheCityUK–Nigeria FDI Program, leading the overall program design, structuring content and learning outcomes, facilitating participant reflections throughout, and guiding attendees in developing an investor-centric value proposition for Nigeria.
The Nigerian delegation included senior officials from a range of institutions, among them the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Lagos State Government, the Nigeria Revenue Service, EnterpriseNGR, and the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions. The program was also attended by the Federal Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.
The Ukrainian delegation included officials from UkraineInvest — Ukraine's Investment Promotion Office — alongside representatives from the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
