As investment promotion agencies (IPAs) increasingly seek to attract capital into strategic sectors and support economic development objectives, investable projects are becoming an important component of modern investment promotion.
To help IPAs, economic development organizations (EDOs), and similar organizations strengthen their understanding and capabilities in this area, FDI Center is launching a three-part webinar series exploring the development, structuring, and promotion of investable projects.
The series will bring together FDI Center experts and leading investment promotion organizations from around the world to share practical insights, methodologies, and real-world experiences.
Webinar 1: Investable projects: What are they and what is the role of IPAs?
The first session will provide an introduction to investable projects—also known as investment-ready projects—and examine the growing role of IPAs and EDOs in their development and promotion. Participants will gain an overview of the project development process, including sourcing, vetting, packaging, and promotion, as well as investor expectations and the key stakeholders involved.
The session will feature contributions from the Board of Investments Philippines and Invest New Zealand, who will share their experience working with investable projects and engaging investors.

Webinar 2: How to identify, structure, and package investable projects
This practical session will explore how IPAs can identify viable investment opportunities and transform them into well-structured, investor-ready projects. The webinar will cover project selection, stakeholder engagement, investor requirements, and the documentation needed to effectively package opportunities for investment.
This webinar will take place in Q3. The exact date will be announced closer to the time.
Webinar 3: Developing Investment-Ready Opportunities: Case Studies from Global IPAs
The final webinar will feature a panel discussion with leading IPAs and investment organizations sharing their experience in developing and promoting investable projects. Through practical case studies and lessons learned, participants will gain insights into different institutional approaches, investor engagement strategies, and success factors from around the world.
This webinar will take place in Q4. The exact date and speaker lineup will be announced closer to the time.
