FDI Center will participate in AIM Congress 2026, taking place from September 7–9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, contributing to the program through two panel discussions and a dedicated masterclass.
As a Knowledge Partner of AIM Congress, FDI Center will bring its international experience in investment promotion and corporate location strategy to three sessions on the agenda.
On September 7, FDI Center will host the panel “Global Investment Horizons 2026: Key Trends & the GCC Advantage”, examining the principal trends influencing global FDI flows, including changing corporate priorities, geopolitical developments, and supply chain restructuring. The discussion will also consider the GCC’s evolving role within the global investment landscape.
The session will be moderated by Andreas Dressler, Managing Director of FDI Center, and will bring together senior representatives from the technology and investment promotion sectors. Panelists include Max Mirgoli, Chief Global Development, Partnerships and Venturing Officer & EVP at imec; Walid Yehia, Managing Director – South Gulf at Dell Technologies; Mohammed Mulla Yaqoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development at the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and WAIPA President; and Dr. Hamad Al-Naimi, Chief Strategy Officer at Invest Qatar.
On September 8, FDI Center will host the masterclass “The New Geography of Investment: Global Site Selection Trends and Their Implications for Investors and IPAs.” The session will explore how corporate location requirements are changing and what these developments mean for both investors evaluating new locations and investment promotion agencies seeking to attract internationally mobile projects. This session will be led by Andreas Dressler and Senior Consultants Andreas Schindler and Conor Finnegan.
On September 9, FDI Center will participate in the panel “The Rise of Nearshoring FDI Close to Europe “, examining the growing importance of nearshoring and the implications of shifting production footprints for locations across and around Europe.
